Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Santa Monica, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Santa Monica is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Santa Monica is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

A bit pricey compare to other korean bbq place, food are not so good, parking area is difficult but there's a public parking space at the back but you have to pay $10 for an hour and $6 after 5pm.

I come here all the time. It has a very nice local vibe. The food is a cosmopolitan Korean food. I enjoy their $5.00 platter from 3-6p.m. it is pisted on a flyer at the till, ask about it. I always get the poke and chips, but the scallops are great as well. The service is very Asian, so don't expect to be romanced. The food is very robust, flavor is amazing, the share with another restaurant, yes it is a very small place but worth the money. Speaking of money, it is very expensive, the photograph below which shocase their food is $25.00 all together for a person. So it is hard to frequent the place. Definately Santa Monica's hidden gem.

It was okay. I should have gotten the special instead. The beef bulgogi was ... weird. It was served with rice, bean sprouts, and spinach salad with blue cheese. I was not expecting that. The picture makes it look better than what it was. Quick service is the only saving grace.

Came here for a burrito. Great Korean food. Had a generously proportioned spicy pork burrito. I liked the fusion concept. Very reasonably priced. Definitely will go back.

Great food at a decent price. The galbi was delicious. I didn't expect the kimchi fried rice to be so runny, but it was still decent.
